  • 2 Tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • ¼ cup buttermilk
  • 1 head of cabbage, shredded
  • 1 carrot, shredded
  • 1 teaspoon celery seeds
  • 2 Tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • dill, optional
  • 1 - 2 Tablespoons fresh parsley, minced
  • 2 Tablespoons lemon juice
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • salt and ground black pepper, to taste
  • 2 - 4 Tablespoons scallions, thinly sliced
  • ½ - 1½ Tablespoons sugar (or honey)


  1. Shred the cabbage thinly, using a box grater, a mandoline, your knife, food processor, etc.Shred the carrot on a box grater.Add the scallions and the parsley.Combine all the ingredients for the dressing in a separate bowl
